i bought a new pair of rainbow sandals last week (premier leather, thick strap, dark brown). after wearing my sierra’s for so long, it was a complete difference when i first put my new ones on. which led me to writing this blog. the greatest thing about rainbow sandals is how they form to your feet. my sierra’s are completely broken in and i wear them like house shoes. i live in them. a lot of people have asked me how to break them in, and i really didnt have a strategy for my first two pairs (premier leather, sierra brown, one pair is thin strap, the other pair is thick strap). i prefer the thick strap sandals. i wore my sierra’s everyday/all day. they never hurt my feet at first, but i have been told that some people dont like the rainbows at first b/c they hurt until they are broken in. i have experienced this with my new dark brown sandals. trust me, once you initially break these sandals in, you wont want to own (or wear) another pair of flip flops.
if you’re looking to break-in, wear-in, or mold your rainbow sandals, here are some suggestions:
**THIS IS STRICTLY MY OPINION AND WHAT HAS WORKED FOR ME…THESE ARE NOT RECOMMENDATIONS FROM ANYONE FROM THE RAINBOW SANDALS COMPANY**
1. wear them as much as possible.
although some people like to preserve their new shoes, rainbow sandals are best with use (after all, that’s why they have a lifetime warranty). i have been wearing my new ones at all times, until i go to bed, just to maximize use.
2. you can soak them in water
dont freak out…this actually helps. my sierra’s looked brand new a year after i bought them, until i got them soaked when running through a fountain. i freaked out, thinking that i had ruined my favorite sandals, but after that, they immediately and completely formed to my feet and are now perfect. the water softens the materials in the sandals, and if you wear them while they are wet, they mold so much faster.
3. dont be alarmed that the edges of your straps start to look like a shiny, finished leather. this is normal (and good).
4. you can bend the flops to make them more flexible
if you have any questions or concerns, let me know.

I just bought a pair of the ladies’ expresso thick straps today. I’ve already bent them a lot and I might try spritzing them with some water. I can’t wait until they’re nice and shiny and broken in.
I love my rainbows!!! Sometimes they hurt if i walk around with them everywhere. I first got them last year and went to NYC and wore them during the whole trip in Manhattan!
I was just wondering how you clean them?? I use to just use a wet wash cloth and clean them and allow it to dry but now since it got so dirty , it doesn’t help. Any tips??
If the wet cloth won’t clean them, you could go to a shoe store and ask them for shoe cleaner or even check at a department store. I would probably go with something specifically designed for genuine leather. See if that helps. With my first pair, I wore them to a concert and it ended up pouring down rain….the were covered in mud. I ended up just soaking them in the bath tub. This removed all the dirt, and made them really soft. If your sandals are hurting your feet, you could try soaking them a little to make the leather soft.
Thanks alot~ I’ll try that. Keep ya updated.
one of my shoes is breaking in way faster then the other one….is this a bad thing?
not necessarily a bad thing, but if you wanted them to break in evenly, you could soften the leather on the other one with water. since rainbows are designed to last forever and have a great guarantee if one of your flops is breaking in so fast you think the quality is poor, i would exchange them. if not, i’d just try to soften the other one so they’d break in evenly.
how long should i soak it for
i just put mine in there to get them wet, and took them out. but i have friends who didn’t want to soak them so they just got a rag wet and just rubbed it on top of the sandal and straps. i would start with as little water as possible and see how it reacts.
how long does it typically take to break them in…and are they supposed to get wrinkled?
my first pair took forever to break in. but my second pair broke in rather quickly. yes they will wrinkle when breaking in b/c they are molding to your feet. mine especially wrinkle around the ball of my feet (near the large toe). if you ever buy another pair of rainbows after breaking in your first pair, you will definitely realize how much they actually mold to your feet.
I have 3 pairs of rainbows and i love them all especially my first pair b/c they are so broken in. i have to sierra brown thick strap, single layer, and the pair i recently bought are dark brown ,thick strap and double layer, to make them easier to break in I stick them in the microwave (I know it sounds weird but it works & it doesn’t harm them at all) I put my rainbows in their for about 15-30 seconds and then I put them on imediatly and walk around the nieghborhood. Hope I helped!
i doubt putting them in the microwave helps…
but ive had my rainbows (single layer)for a lil over a month and the bottom at my heel is already in the second layer……oh no…
thats really bad right?
dont put them in the microwave, at least f0r a full thirty seconds. it can burn them (duh rubber burns..) and made mine curve up at the toe.
josh… thats not terrible. just means your gurantee has expired
im getting kindof obssessive….how are they supposed to break in if over night my footprint raises back up
josh…. you need more things to worry about in life and occupy your time somewhere else. volunteering maybe???? instead of freaking about a pair of sandals. wtf man?!?!?!?!?! i hope you are only like 13 years old.
My rainbows stink. I love them to death but they smell like bad cheese because I wear them so much. Is there an easy way to get the smell out?
not that i know of…just try to air them out. maybe get another pair and not wear the same pair over and over. i rotate between my dark brown and sierra rainbows. you might try scrunching up newspaper and tucking under the straps. i used to do this with my soccer cleats to dry them out and deodorize them. or you could sprinkle baby powder on them before you wear them. maybe that will help.
Dave, just spray 1 part ammonia, 5 part water on the sandals and let them dry for a day.
Hi,
i recently purchased the sand colored rainbows and only wore them a couple of times and theyre already so dirty. i was just wondering, what is the best way to clean them without ruining them?
thank you!
hey rebecca, scroll up to the 2nd and 3rd comments…
I bought a pair of rainbow sandals and was really looking forward to having a cool looking sandal I could wear for years but I have very sensitive feet and can not break them in. I can only wear them for about 10 minures at a time before my feet start hurting to the point where I have to take them off. I wore them down to the laundry room and across the street to buy a bottle of water. By the time I came home, I had a huge red mark on the side of my right foot from the strap. It felt like I had been wearing wooden shoes. The toe piece is also very rough and tends to cut into my second toe. I don’t have much hope for these being comfortable on my extra sensitive feet. Thanks for the water tip, I’ll try that.
do the tan ones feel different than the sierra brown ones?
I have a pair of sierra brown rainbows in men’s small. They’re all broken in and everything, but how do I clean them? Where do I go to get something to clean them? They’re genuine leather and single layer. Also, when I wear them now, I feel like my feet are sliding around in them, is this because they may have been too big and I should have purchased the women’s large instead? Or is it something ON the leather where my foot is?
Hi,
I saw all the tips about putting them in water. My last pair of bows got wet and then warped into a curve. It was not the same after that.
I am leary to try this because of that experience. Someone told me that vaseline works to soften the leather. Any body heard of using baseball glove oils to break the bows in?
i would not use baseball glove oils at all… it’s possible that when you wear the flip flops in the heat, the oil will rise as you step down or it could just cause the sandals to become greasy. i recommended using a damp cloth and putting on some areas of the sandals at first (small amount)…a pair mine got soaked by accident (so i had no choice nor control over the amount of water for those) and i ended up loving how they broke in after that. but leather is leather…and what works for some, may destroy for others. …some people (especially baseball glove owners) swear by soaking, while i’m hesitant for soaking. i’d start light with water (if you choose to use water), especially if you only have one pair. but i’d definitely advise against oils…i’d just let the natural oils from your feet and perspiration work into the leather. otherwise you might just end up with a greasy mess. just my opinion. i have 3 pairs and haven’t had any problems when breaking them in.
hey kat, my sierra brown’s are women’s and have been completely broken in for about 3 years now. what i have noticed is that as they become more broken in, they leather becomes smoother. my feet tend to slide on these as well b/c they are *really* smooth at this point. i don’t think it’s necessarily that they are too big…just how they’ve broken in. they start out as a more textured leather, so your feet don’t move much at the beginning. as far as cleaning, i haven’t tried cleaning any of mine yet. i had suggested earlier that you could possibly check a shoe store for “leather shoe cleaners.” they would probably have different types of cleaners (based on the different types of leather). others have used a damp cloth (especially since the flops are already broken in) to wipe away some of the dirt. if the dirty areas seem to be from extensive wear, then you might not be able to clean them. i know my oldest pair has a permanent dark area from both of my feet…those areas aren’t going anywhere.
cant find the warranty on rainbow-sandals, can you help?

that’s the website. scroll to the bottom for a link to “sizes and guarantee”
my rainbow flip flops got soaked in mud. i cleaned them off with water but still looked stained.(they are the ligt rown thick straps) any help?
leather is REALLY hard to clean if soaked in mud especially the sierra brown…maybe try getting a leather shoe cleaner. i haven’t had any mud on mine, so i personally haven’t had to deal with this situation. the only thing i can suggest is a leather shoe cleaner.
yes:) i love the way my rainbows broke in and formed to fit my foot. i havn’t wore any other kinf of flip flops since i bought my 2 pairs of rainbows, but i found this page when looking for the rainbows site, because unfortunately the bottom on my black ones is really really worn and faded, so i need to send them in. i dont know how to go about this, do you? Please
What does the bottoms of yours look like after 3 years of wearing them, are they smooth? I hear they get a little scary after the soles get worn in.
hi samantha, here is the official website, it should have all the contact information. if you don’t find it, let me know and i’ll check it out for you.

doug – the bottom of my oldest rainbows have a dark spot that looks like my foot on each sandal. this hair is dark, shiny, and smooth. i don’t think they are scary, but i can imagine if some people wear these sandals all day/everyday…the places they go…i wouldn’t doubt some of them could be in fact scary.
but yes, the pair i have had the longest are really smooth now.
My rainbows smell too. does that ammonia thing really work???
turell – i have enver tried ammonia, but i personally wouldn’t try it.
My rainbows smell. I don’t know what to do because getting them wet makes them worse. Any ideas?
Hi, I just recently bought a Rainbow from the mall for about $43. Anyway, I wore it a few times & I even drove in them. After I drove in them, the sandals had wrinkles in them on the footbed near the straps (right under). Although the sandal itself is comfortable, this wrinkle has become really uncomfortable for me. Is this normal? Please let me know! Thank you.
Do you have any idea if I can wash the Hemp Rainbows I have? They are my favorite pair of shoes period. They’re also the only shoes I wear to work. This in turn has created some very dirty, very stinky Rainbows!
Terry – try sprinkling some baby powder on them, especially on really hot days.
FlipFlopFan – mine have wrinkles as well. however, they have not become uncomfortable. my guess is that the leather wrinkled before getting broken in, so many try bending the flops back and forth in that area to try and loosen the leather. i hope this helps.
Paige – i have absolutely no experience with the hemp sandals. i’m sorry. perhaps someone (who experienced your same situation) will read your comment and post suggestions. sorry i couldn’t be of more help!
Hey, ive had rainbows, n thick strap tan, but i soaked them in water before i read this to break them in
n one is like wrinkled looking and the other is smooth
any thoughts on why this has happened, ive had the mfor about 2 months by the way, thnx Evan
my randbows stink! how is there any remedy?
please read through the comments for this entry before asking a question. most questions have already been asked at least once. i know for sure that there have been questions asked about “wrinkles” and “stinking.”
Another good way for breaking in any type of sandal.
-First soak them in water (pool or bathtub will work just fine) Walk around in water with them. This will actually create a suction for sucking the water into the cushion layer of the sandal. This is actually good for the sandal so don’t worry.
-Next put them in the dryer for 15 min (NO LONGER). This will heat up the water that is inside the cushiony layer and soften the material. NOTE: Make sure that they are wrapped in a few towels or put in the dryer with other clothes. This will protect the sandals from bouncing around and avoiding any damage to the sandal (or maybe your dryer.)
-And last, take them out of the dryer. You will notice that the sandal is much more flexible. and soft, and of course very hot. Put them on your feet ASAP and take a walk down the street. Keep walking on them until they cool down. By the time they cool down you will notice a big difference. Your sandals will be much looser and much more comfortable on your feet. This method worked for me perfectly, so try it and post some feedback. Good luck!
I have the tan/smooth leather kind. they look really different from the premier ones and its kind of embarassing because they almost look “generic” compared to them. Whats the difference and does anyone know more about the smooth leather kind? what would you prefer.
i had a pair of rainbows and i LOVED them. but they wore down too much to wear anymore so i bought new ones. they are the darker brown with the thicker sole. the bottom where i put my foot is SOOO slippery… ive worn them in water a few times and i tried to scrub them a bit. but they are still slippery. anyone else have this problem??
The leather soles on my Rainbow are cracking. Also they rolled up like grapefruits and are very uncomfortable. Is all this normal? if not, how would I go about getting the warranty for my Rainbows?
i just got my new rainbows on christmas and now they have little dk brown spots at where my toes are. how do i get the spots out?
my rainbows look so dirty, how do i get them clean?!
I am having the same problem with my foot sliding around because the leather is so slippery now…Anyone know what could help with this? Also, does anyone here own a pair of the hemp ones & can attest to if you like them or not, etc.? I was thinking about getting a new pair…
hey i bought some raindow sandals a little while ago and they got rined really fast..do u noe how i can get that lifetime warrenty and get some new ones sent to me..?…send me an email plz i would really apretiate it..kewl thanks!
oh great i forgot to leave my email…lolz smreamingmimmies@yahoo.com
does anyone know….
what is the difference between the double and single layer rainbows?
is there really a big difference? Is one better than the other?
Thanks.
i don’t personally own a double layer pair, so i don’t know if the extra layer makes a difference in the cushion or not. if anyone owns a double layer pair, maybe they can let us know!
I just bought my first pair of double layer (Grey Rubber) Rainbows. They are really nice. The heel has more cushion and feels good. I love my single layer Rainbows too.
The price I paid for the rubber double layer Rainbows are $20 with tax included at the Rainbow store.
[...] to hold you over until i can get past finals, and put together my top flops entry, here’s a link to that post. [...]
When I first got my Rainbows, I walked around in them for about a week or so with my feet blistering. It hurt! But after a while, they break in nicely, and you can walk without limping. I would definitely buy these again! (They are a little snug at first)
Rainbows are great! I too purchased a pair of the double-layer soles in the San Clemente Rainbow outlet, but mine cost $36. The double layer gives you more support. I wear mine everywhere everyday.
I’m a huge fan of Rainbows! I’ve got 8 pairs, leathers and hemp’s, all double layer except 1. They are definitely the best flip-flop ever made. I get’em at the Rainbow San Clemente factory cause obviously they sell them the cheapest there. The hemp’s are my favorites. They’re easy to break in and they’re slip resistant…even when they’re wet. Double-layer is the way to go if you need that extra cushion comfort like I do especially if you wear them alot. The warranty is definitely a great deal and is something they do honor. I just took in a pair my sister had where the strap pulled up and tore the top sole on a pair of rubber single layers. Needless to say they did credit me what they cost and I got her a pair of the hemps. Got to say, Rainbows are the way to go if you want style and quality in a flip-flop!
hey! i actually had a question about them, i have a pair that i bought about a month ago. i wear them but they are a little bit smaller than i thought. i want to up a size from medium to large, but i dont want to have to pay for another pair. some friends told me i could also send them in for another pair in exchange?
you can’t exchange them, if you would have bought them a size bigger you probably could have been able to take them in to have them shave the backs of them to make them shorter. but alas, they cannot add on area for your foot. your best bet is to ALWAYS buy them a size bigger if you’re concerned about size issues.
I finally bought my 2nd pair of rainbows, after owning my first pair for 7 1/2 years. Granted, they still hadn’t fallen apart, but my “hobo” looking sandals weren’t up to everyones’ standards I guess. I don’t care I still love my old original pair. They’re wonderful and I still wear them often.
I’ve had my rainbows for about 2 months and have had trouble breaking them in and would get bad blisters when I tried to walk a mile of so in them. I was very hesitant to get them wet because a friend of mine said when he accidentally got his wet the leather wrinkled. Until one day when I spilled a jar of pickles and pickle juice all over them so I obviously had to wash them off and I walked around in them until they dried. The next day I could really tell a difference. I have soaked them again and they are on the verge of being perfect. So to everyone who doesn’t want to get them wet, DO IT!
I got a pair for Christmas and still haven’t worn them! I wear a size 7 1/2 shoe and these are women med (6 1/2-7 1/2) and they hurt! Also look like they are too small – narrow and short at the heel. I read somewhere that men styles are wider and wondering if there is a man’s small enough for length but would make them more comfortable. Or should I just go for the next size up in women’s…any help would be so appreciated.
I was wondering if the size I got was too small. If I scrunch my feet up all the way my heel is right at the edge, would that be too short? Also, where the strap enters the front of the left flipflop is to the left by like a quarter inch more than the right. Is that normal or worth going back to exchange for a new pair? Thanks for any info!
The rainbows I have are the thick strap double layer light tan ones. I noticed that the strap between the toes is very large and feels like it is never going to stop being so wide (between the toes) Has anyone else had this problem. It makes your feet hurt. Will they ever get thinner?
Thanks,
sidney
I just got a new pair of thick strap rainbows. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem…the toe straps on them are way to far back and my heal keeps sliding off.
I also heard that if you put a water bottle in them and let them sit there at night that they break in easy. Is this true?
Well i bought rainbows today..the thick strap dark brown ones?
My friend bought hers a long time ago and the frist time she wore them they gave her blisters…but i think that was a single layer i couldnt tell…Oh and on mine and hers it doesnt say the rainbow signature in blue on one of the straps it just has the rainbow are they still real?
Also e the double layer is alot thicker ofcourse and sturdier they will take longer to mold in but thats only because its a double layer. I personally think the double layer is better.
Sarah juse keep wearing them. Im guessing you have the wide strap…not the slim strap it is normally for rainbows to be like that and its not bad,but if u dont like it..i would exxhange then for the womens slim strap b/c i think u have the men/womans thick strap….
Ok so i was wondering if you don’t buy them online and you want to return them if they’re worn out…i don’t think i could return them to the store…but i just return them to the manufacturers?
Hi, I just got my first pair of rainbows recently and i got half of the tan footbed wet by walking through wet grass
I know that you say it’s ok/good to get them wet, but will the dark discoloration be permanent? and if so what should i do to make them look fairly new again?
thanks
I know if i soak them they will break in/mold to my feet faster, but if i don’t, will they get just as broken in with time?
Mike, I think you’re supposed to return them to the company if they are worn out, there is contact info on the site/ tag when you get them.
A while back i got some dk browns, and loved them! some of my friends told me not to wear them to swim practice or meets, in case they got wet. rainbows are for the beach, so i did anyway, but way after they were broken in. i still kept them out of water, but whenever they did get wet, they were totally fine. then i got some black ones, double layer, premier. i decided to try soaking them wet before wearing to see if they broke in faster than my older pair. while wearing them, they turned the bottom of my feet black. has this happened to anyone else????? and also, i’m thinking about getting some hemp ones, because i’ve heard water doesn’t affect at all except in making them easier to break in to. Does anyone own both leather and hemp? If so, i’d love to know the pros and cons!
Dude, they are suppose to get wet…Rainbows were originally made for surfers and long boarders! Idiot
I received them as a gift last week because I had been looking for them forever and hadn’t been able to find them. I just took the tags off a few minutes ago, and I guess I have wide feet, so they were like cutting off the blood circulation tight. I actually tugged at the straps a little and it let my feet in easier. They’re still tight (not as tight), but hopefully at the end of the day they will be broken in.
I got the older kind of rainbows that arent made anymore and they make my feet sweat a whole lot…is this a bad thing
Re: udon’tevenknow and swimmer
you don’t even know. can you friggin read? idiot!
anyway, yeah i have rainbows (thick strap, premier) in dk brown, espresso, black, and sierra and i totally know what you’re talking about. i live in florida, so i’m always at the beach in the summer. when i first got my espresso and black ones, the bottom of my feet did turn black, but after a while, when they got broken in and got hard and shiny, they stopped rubbing onto my feet.
and i personally didn’t really like the hemp ones too much
they sorta hurt the bottom of my feet
when they got broken in, i guess they got a little better, but when i wear them for too long, straps started hurting
I brought my new pair of rainbows to Baja with me a couple of years ago, and of course they got super wet. I would NOT recommend getting your rainbows wet in an attempt to break them in — the discoloration does not go away, and I found that the discoloration from the water made them kind of ugly (I still wore them, though). I would say that just wearing them all the time is the best way to break them in, but that’s just me. Once you’ve broken them in, you’ll have calluses in the right places and when you get a new pair, it won’t hurt to wear them. Just my 0.02.
I am about to buy my first pair of Rainbows. What is the difference between the regular leather and the premier leather?
help! i just wore my rainbows and they got all wet. now the entire bottom of my foot is stained brown. how do i get it off???!!!
You said when the leather straps get shiny, thats a good thing..how so?
Yeah that happened to me too with my black ones. It won’t come off easily with soap and water. You just gotta wait till it fades away. That’s how it was with me.
Im looking for a pair of flip flops, and I really was hoping I could find a pair of rainbows in town, but all they had was a pair of ocien pacific flip flops that looked like rainbows. Do you think that the op flip flops would be a good choice? I really dont want to get anything on the internet, because i have had some issues on getting the wrong sizes before.
to break in my first pair i put them on after i got out of the shower while my feet were wet. this worked perfectly. i got my first pair 2 years ago and they are perfectly molded to my feet. i wouldn’t trade these sandals for anything. they are my most beloved footwear that i’ve ever had in my life.
i got a new pair last week. when i put them on one of them wrinkled up under the ball my foot. it felt weird. the other one didn’t do it. this happened to my dads rainbows as well and his are still like that. i decided to exchange them. i got my new pair today…same thing happened. only one of them wrinkles up. what’s the deal? i’m bringing these back too. i don’t think this should happen…it didn’t happen with my original rainbows that i got 2 years ago. has this happened to anyone else?
Hey, the same thing hapened to me with mine. I think that one of my rainbows wrinkled because I soaked it in more water, because it happened instantly after I bought them. I read in the upper posts that wrinkling is just a sighn of the rainbows molding to your feet. Man they are so comfy!!
Just so everyone is clear the warrenty does not cover the wearing of the sole of the sandals. It only applies to the straps. And yes if you get them wet the change a little – just make sure to wear them while they dry so they dont bend. But if the do bend wearing them for a few days will help them return to normal. I do love them too – i’ve worn mine out so much that my right toe sometimes brushes the ground but they are so comfortable i dont care.
Ali I have not seen a way to break in sandals like i am doing–first u get a pair of peds the cushy kind ; put on feet; take off heel; pull sock forward over toe then insert foot into sandal; push your foot forward–the ped is half way on your foot but it takes the stress off the top – u look like a dork and i suggest u wear them that way only in the house–it works!! I went out today and actually wore them without the peds- these r 2 weeks old!!
Hi I have a quesion about the warranty of rainbows. I remember reading that if the strap broke through or if one of the layers came through that yo could exchange them for a new pair but I don’t know where I could do that. A friend of mine told me that he heard you could bring them to a department store that sells them and they will give you a new pair. I tried going to the website link in one of the posts but it won’t come up. I appreciate the help!
okay,so last night i got pushed in the pool with all my clothes and of course my rainbow flips. i have the light tan ones. and they are wet! and dark now. will they dry off and be back to normal light tan color as when i bought them??
I have natural hemp thick strap single layer rainbows and have worn them for almost a year. To clean them:
i first soaked them in warm, soapy water (Ultra Palmolive Antibacterial liquid soap) and scrubbed it VERY gently with an old toothbrush, but didnt see much difference since the bottoms were practically black with dirt.
Using the same toothbrush, i used Purex Colorsafe bleach alternative detergent and VERY GENTLY scrubbed it, let it sit for about 20 minutes, rinsed it VERY thoroughly but gently, and let them air dry. They looked practically brand new.
I’ve never tried it, but i dont recommend using a dish rag because it MAY ruin the grain pattern of the hemp. Brissels tend to get deeper into the hemp and get more dirt out. BUT you must scrub it very gently so as not to tear up the hemp.
As far as choosing a size, when and if you can put the thong of the rainbow all the way between your first and second toe, your heel should be APPROX. 1-1.5 inches from the edge of the heel of your rainbows. The strap should be abit snug until you break them in.
I plan on getting leather ones soon to experiment on cleaning them
Hope this helps you hemp rainbow lovers! ^-^
ugh…i dont know if i want to soak them or not…so many conflicting answers
I bought my rainbows at the beggining of summer..most ppl thought i was crazy for spending 50 dollars on flip flips but i figured maybe it was worth it since i go through a pair of cheap rubber ones in a month…so i bought them..THEY ARE THE BEST SHOES…mine are showing signs of wear now and kinda discolored..but they are by far still my favorite shoes…they are worth the money! im going to try some of the ideas ive gotten of here to clean them…i’ve gotten mine wet and they have turned darker around the strap and foot…as far as them being tight when u first get them..they are..i thought i was goin to scream when i first wore them..and i have really narrow skinny feet to begin with..but they loosin up i promise..I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE SHOES!
Dont soak them for long, just enough to get them wet and soapy
btw this is only relevant on hemp rainbows
Hannah – i think you call the company and tell them your situation and i THINK they send you a new pair. thats what i heard
i might be wrong but its worth trying
iva – they should return to thier normal color after drying as long as there wasnt dirt in the pool
I’m going on a trip where its 97 degrees F. and I need to break in my flips! the problem is tht they are wrinkled up since I wear them to my pool everyday.. HOW 2 BREAK THEM IN?

To Clock (who inquired about OP sandals):
I just bought my first pair of Rainbows today, but before that I wore my OP sandals for about two years (but not too often). Now, they’re REALLY worn-in (slick/almost black surface) and the straps are so loose my foot sometimes slides off, but overall they’re still pretty comfortable and wearable. They also cost more than 50% less.
i just got my first pair and they hurt a little bit but i just wet them with a paper towel should i soak them or just damp them ? because my friend has them and there really broken in and i want mines to be the same any tips ?
How come one of my leather flops are like all wrinkle and the other one isnt? it looks like one is breaking in faster than the other. how do i make them break in at the same pace
How do I get new ones from the guaranty thing? It dosnt say what to do to get them fixed or how to get the new ones
I’ve had my rainbows for uhh.. 4 months now. And where I’ve got them wet and they dryed back up, they’re kind of drying out I guess you can say. Where your feet goes, it’s turning a dry-whiteish color and are real smooth. I’m glad they’re smooth but I don’t like the dry-white color. Any ways you can help me?
hey i have the guys XL single layer but want doubles.. are they comfortable?
I wore my single layer sierras for only 3 months and the leather is getting stiff and cracked (probably from wearing the in saltwater. Are double layers comfortable? I want a a pair. they look so cool form the sides
-__-
do u think u can paint on the leather rainbow flips?
